What destroys tires, barring catastrophes, is heat. Heat is
generated by excessive flexing, like with a flat, or friction.
Friction is caused by scuffing and rubbing, like an ill-fitting
inner tube at high speed.
The Staun Internal BeadLock™ is designed to securely
lock both tire beads against the rim thus preventing any movement.
Having done its job at the bead, it immediately separates from the
tire. This means no scuffing or rubbing, and hence, no
detrimental heat generated in either the tire or BeadLock.
Staun BeadLocks have been successfully raced and
driven on the highway in Australia for over two years.
Although we only sell our BeadLocks for off-highway
use, they are nevertheless capable of sustained highway-like speeds.
