NONDISCRIMINATION AND RESPECT FOR MOTHER NATURE:  ECO4WD (ECOLOGICAL
4-WHEELING ADVENTURES) is an equal-opportunity adventure tours four wheel drive off road service provider and permittee for all properties traveled. We only use designated trails and areas, and have the utmost respect for Mother Nature.

RESERVATION PROCEDURE: You may RESERVE BY MAIL or FROM THIS SITE, but we do not accept reservations by telephone, fax or email.  Confirmed reservations (encouraged) are accompanied by a deposit.  An acknowledgement postcard or email is immediately sent to confirmed reservations.  Approximately six weeks before the tour, confirmed reservations receive an adventure tours information packet with additional tour details and request for balance due. Unconfirmed reservations (without a deposit) may be notified only if space is available.

REGISTRATION FORMS: Our registration and other forms are provided as PDF downloads for your convenience and viewing.  They are not required upon making reservations but may be completed and mailed in with your deposit to expedite and solidify your registration.  All forms are included with the first tour mailing (via email or snail mail), usually about 6 weeks prior to the tour.  More on forms below.

DISCUSSION: Make college class/tour reservations directly through each college and understand their policies, too.

     Prior college class lecture and/or tour participation is not required to participate in our four wheel drive adventure tours EXPLORING TRIPS.  Insured, street-legal, four wheel drive vehicles with a low-range transfer case and reasonable ground clearance are required except as noted in the tour descriptions.  Stock sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in good mechanical condition are encouraged, and generally, modifications are not required.  All-wheel-drive, sedan-, van-type vehicles and towed trailers, regardless of design, are not accepted unless noted in the trip description.  For all adventure tours, you must carry: drinking water, CB radio, spare tire and equipment to change it, working seatbelts, windshield wipers/washers, yank strap, metal top or roll bar, trash bag, toilet paper and shovel.  Most difficult (black diamond) off road trips may require vehicle modifications.  Camping trips require self-contained camping gear plus food and drinks.  See the REQUIREMENTS section of each trip description for additional stipulations.  Participants should be prepared to operate on their own.

     Every participant, regardless of age, must submit a separate, completed and signed registration/liability form.  A completed self vehicle inspection form for the vehicle and an exploring trip policy form are also required from the primary registrant.  Click here to go to the FORMS summary page.  All furnished accommodations and meals (where provided) are based on double occupancy.  Single travelers pay the same rate.  ECO4WD reserves the right to screen and reject any reservation or participant, or while on a tour, for past or tour incompatible behavior.

ITINERARY: Due to the expeditionary nature of all EXPLORING TRIPS, the exact accommodations, meals and itinerary may change.  Every effort is made to conduct the tours exactly as presented, but that is not guaranteed.  When changes are made that affect tour cost, additional fees may be requested or partial refunds issued for the change in service.

DISCOUNTS, DEPOSITS, FEES and REFUNDS: Book three tours or three 4Xs (or more) on the same tour, directly with us, more than ten weeks in advance, and receive a 5 percent discount.  Save money and travel with friends by booking as a group.  Deposits and fees are specified in the trip descriptions.  A 20 percent late fee is added to reservations booked six weeks or less before the adventure tours.  Cancellations are only accepted by mail.  A partial deposit or tour fee refund may be made, less a $20 cancellation fee, for tours canceled by you, in writing, and filled by another.  Deposits and tour fees are also transferable to other adventure tours (less the $20 cancellation fee) within one year of your original booking date.  Otherwise, deposits and trip fees are NONREFUNDABLE regardless of reason, partial or non-participation.  A full refund and apology are made for trips canceled by ECO4WD.
