TRIP LEADER: Harry Lewellyn

The 25 foot (vertical!) tides at the northern end of the Sea of Cortez near San Felipe, Baja California must be seen to be believed!

Airing down for a San Felipe, Baja California Mexico beach run.WHAT: This trip is a great opportunity to get acquainted with San Felipe, Baja California, the ol’ Coyote and meet new traveling companions on one luxurious trip. While enjoying one of the nicest hotel in San Felipe, we experience the spectacular Sea of Cortez tides and learn to master the sand! Day 1: We’ll make a leisurely midday border crossing and arrive with plenty of time to settle in to our home for three nights. The highlight will be Day 2 as we meander on south near Puertecitos, then turn our attention and direction north for the sandy trek to dinner (included) at Laguna Percebu. Day 3 is open: shopping, fishing, tennis, exploring the Baja California backcountry with the Coyote and too many other options to mention. Day 4 brings on adios as we ponder the ever-enticing option to explore the Sierra de Juarez and Laguna Hansen for a Tecate border crossing.A driving lecture on the San Felipe, Baja California Mexico beach.

50 miles of low-tide San Felipe, Baja California Mexico beach make for much fun.
